As a part of their "Episode III" holiday promotion, Beamdog has discounted MDK 2 HD by 33% ($10 instead of $15). This is the first time this high fidelity remake has been on sale. Sadly, today is the last day of that sale period, so you might want to jump on that ship before it sails, if you feel that the price is finally right.

It's forgivably easy to forget that MDK2 was one of Bioware's first games. A unique 3rd-person shooter with a sense of humor and a hex-legged, heat-packing dog, it's been known for a little while that a release was planned both for the Wii's downloadable games catalog, as well as an HD remake for the PC.
Destructoid has reported today that the WiiWare release will be available for download on May 9th, 2011. It'll be priced at 1,000 Wii Points ($10 US).
