Inon Zur, composer for both Dragon Age 1 and 2, posted about an 18-track benefit album entitled Novum Initium that has just been released, featuring new works by a roster of game music composers. It costs $10 (but you can choose to pay more), and the proceeds of this album go to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which supports working musicians in need of financial assistance. The album features work by Inon Zur, Jack Wall and Sam Hulick (Mass Effect 1 and 2), Mark Griskey (Star Wars: The Old Republic) and many others. You can buy it from multiple sources, but Bandcamp also allows you to listen to the entire album before deciding whether or not you want to donate to this cause or simply buy some excellent music.
