Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Patch 1.0.2012 Released

On January 15th, Overhaul Games released patch 1.0.2012 for the Windows version of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, which includes a long list of bug fixes, crash fixes, and minor feature additions. At the time of this post, a corresponding iPad update has not yet been deployed but has been promised soon.

Update: Notably, only the Beamdog version of BG:EE should be receiving the patch at this time. The Steam version of BG:EE must have its patches filtered through publisher Atari before it is deployed on Steam, so "there will be a delay." Apparently Overhaul Games had no direct involvement in the adaptation of the game for addition on Steam.

Crash Fixes:

  • Improved multiplayer stability

  • Damage notifications change colour depending on type of damage done
  • Option to turn off coloured player circles (enables original green circles)
  • Added roll total to ability screen when creating a new character

  • Yeslick may rejoin the party in Jopalin's Tavern
  • Black Lily purchases stolen goods
  • UI improvements

  • Resolved random respawns occurring too often
  • Stat modifications for unidentified items now appear
