If you're in the New York area, and can't make it to next weekend's Comic-Con, then you still have a chance to take TOR for the spin while enjoying an open bar and hanging out with some of the Bioware Austin team, as they'll be hosting a community meet-up next Wednesday. Just, you know, if you shoot first, leave a little something for the mess.
The SWTOR site made a post today detailing the team's appearances at the upcoming convention. This includes the Bioware booth where you can test drive the upcoming Space MMO, as well as three panels that will look at the TOR world. You can find our post about these events here.
However, for those unable to attend, the TOR guys have this for you:
If you are unable to make it to New York Comic Con, BioWare will also be hosting a Community Meet & Greet on Wednesday, October 12th at District 36. Lasting from 8:00PM EDT until 11:00PM EDT, fans will be able to get some hands-on time with the Origin Worlds content, have a drink at the open bar and hang out with members of the Star Wars: The Old Republic team. Space is limited, so show up early to make sure that you can get in! Keep your eyes on our Community Forums and Events Page for more details as they become available.
District 36 is a Midtown nightclub in Manhattan, conveniently located halfway between the two main transportation hubs of NYC - Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station. If you're interested in attending you can find directions through Google Maps.
There's no age limit for admittance, though those under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. Of course, you need to be over 21 to drink.
