Star Wars: The Old Republic Preorder Details

Looks like the rumors about the Star Wars: The Old Republic preorders going on sale today are true! EA recently unveiled three preorder editions of the game. All three preorder package options include early game access, a lightsaber/blaster bolt color changing stone in-game item, and 30 days of game time.

Early game access appears to be the "head start" period that directly precedes the launch of the game. No date has been announced (yet), and preordering will not reveal a launch date or provide an estimate, but the preorder FAQ indicates that the order in which preorder codes are redeemed at the official SWTOR site determines how soon you get your early game access, once that head start period begins.

(Just a quick FYI, it appears that Origin is taking $5 deposits for the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, which is a bit rare for digital pre-orders. - DannyMcGeek)
